Kentmere 100
Just because you CAN push Kentmere 100 to ISO 800, does that mean you should?
Kentmere 100 is Ilford's budget film. It's made cheaper than other films by reducing the amount of silver in the emulsion.

A lower silver content means the film will be grainier. and less flexible when push or pull processing.

But this is what Kentmere 100 looks like pushed to ISO 800! The film does lose details in the shadows when pushed three stops, but retains a printable density with remarkable contrast.

All it takes is a stand development process in Rodinal diluted 100:1. To process this at home, gently agitate the solution for the first minute, and then leave it to develop for the next 2 hours.

This type of development slows highlight development by not replenishing the developer. This gives the solution time to fully penetrate and develop the shadow detail, effectively pushing the film by 3 stops.
